As Umbria is such a small region and thanks to good roads it is easy to get to all places to see in a short time.
The nearby railway station of Chiusi enables you to reach Florence and Rome in just one hour and 20 mins.
CITIES OF ART
Perugia, Gubbio, Orvieto, Spoleto, Citta di Castello, Spello and Todi with their urban architecture preserve wonderful testimony of the Etruscan, Medieval and Renascence era. They are the jewels of history and art perfectly preserved in evergreen landscapes, interrupted by the red bricks stone, the pink stone of Assisi, the yellow tuff of Orvieto, the blues of Lake Trasimeno, and the delicate colours of the materials on a weave and the brighter colours of the wonderful ceramics.
CHURCHES AND BASILICAS
The regions and scattered with Hermitages and Monasteries built in picturesque areas where one can admire amazing architecture and works of art. The one that distinguishes itself is surely the Basilica of Saint Francis in Assisi with its frescoes by Giotto and the Cathedral of Orvieto.
HAMLETS AND CASTLES
The area around the malagronda if full of little villages that were once castles: Città Della Pieve, Castiglione del Lago, Panicale. Their urban structure preserves works of art and architecture. From these places you can see marvelous views of The Lake Trasimeno and its surrounding hills.

From Country House Malagronda you can visit some of the most famous wine areas of Italy. Orvieto with its famous wine of the same name, Montefalco with its precious Sagrantino, Torgiano and all the other areas that have a wine culture and knowhow of combining its wine to traditional poor men gastronomy in a create way rendering it excellent in its quality: game, tagliatelle, legumes, mushrooms, truffles, cheeses, salami, lake fish, great olive oil and chocolate famous all over the world.
SPORT AND NATURE
The Lake Trasimeno and its three islands and its Nature Park attracts nature lovers, but it is also a paradise for those keen on water sports, fishing and bird watching.

In Umbria there are music festivals: Umbria Jazz in Perugia and in Orvieto in winter, sacred music, Trasimeno Blues Festival and the Festival of the two worlds in Spoleto.

The history of our antique territory “Chiugi” both in its administration and topography was and is very connected to Tuscany, there are still traces in our dialect.
